Memorial for Chairman Anders Karl Bruun
13.11.1953 – 20.09.2024

On Friday, September 20, Chairman Anders Karl Bruun passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Anders was deeply loved by those around him, and his family is in profound grief over the sudden and tragically premature loss.

Anders Karl Bruun began his remarkable career at the young age of 17 in 1971 with K.W. Bruun, then known as Interdan. For the past 21 years, he had led the company as an active chairman of the K.W. Bruun Group.

Anders was an exceptional individual, whose tireless dedication and strong business acumen helped shape and elevate K.W. Bruun to become one of the largest privately-owned car importers in the Nordics. Anders dedicated his entire working life to K.W. Bruun successfully expanded the company from one division to five, creating 900 jobs and driving significant growth in both revenue and profits. He was incredibly proud of K.W. Bruun and its many talented employees, whom he frequently spoke of with great warmth. Like his grandfather, founder Karl Wilhelm Bruun, Anders carried integrity close to his heart and built long-standing business relationships and close friendships based on trust and personal integrity. To those fortunate enough to call him a friend, he was known for his great thoughtfulness and generosity, always coming from the heart.

A particularly special partnership was formed with his daughter Maria Bruun-Lander when she joined the company in 2005. Together, they were a strong duo, running a loving, close, and successful partnership until the very end. Their shared passion for cars, and especially for Le Mans, was undeniable.

Le Mans and the sport’s ability to bring people together also inspired one of Anders' longtime dreams, the Classic Car House. It was a great joy for him when, in 2023, he was able to open the doors to this project, which he had devoted three years of hard work to alongside Maria and the board. Classic Car House became the culmination of Anders’ years of passion for classic cars and their cultural heritage, and it was dear to him to create a gathering place and a community for everyone.

Anders’ passion and spirit will always live on throughout the company, where his great commitment and creativity remained an inspiration to many.

Anders leaves behind a tremendous void in his family and all who cherished him.

May Anders’ memory be honored.
